President's Message: February 2010

Our next regular meeting will be Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at our regular meeting location (American Legion Building, corner of Dale Mabry and Kennnedy Blvd.). L.A. scriptwriter, Gordy Hoffman, will be our guest speaker. He is the brother of Philip Seymour Hoffman. You don’t want to miss it.

Our “premiere party” for our latest Short Takes project, “Saving God,” was held on Sunday, January 31, at the American Legion building. The short movie, free soft drinks and popcorn were enjoyed by a nice crowd. We have a few (only 6 or 8, I haven’t checked recently) copies of the DVD left. You can print out a PDF of the order form by clicking on the link on our web site. The DVD’s are $10 each. On the form you can indicate if you would like to pick up your copy at our February meeting or if you want it mailed to you. If you want the DVD mailed to you, there will be a charge of $2.00 for postage and shipping for each DVD. I will bring any remaining copy to our next meeting.

We will continue to seek suggestions regarding programs and speakers our members would like to have at future meetings. If you know of someone who has a particular skill, expertise or experience which you believe would be of interest to our group, please bring contact information with you to the meeting.

See everyone next Wednesday, February 17th, at 7:30.
